Located at the Western edge of Sherman Heights, gateway to the East Village, Sophie’s Arms is well along its way to completing the renovation that will restore her original grace.

Conveniently located near downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, Pet Co Park, Jefferson Law School, Western Law School, New School of Architecture and Design, and the Naval Medical Center San Diego, Sophie’s Arms is an ideal location for professionals and students alike. The apartments are quietly tucked away in one of the last traditional San Diego Neighborhoods.

The ongoing restoration and renovation has provided residents with finely appointed apartments that boast a variety of amenities.  All units have been furnished with white oak hardwood floors and raised ceilings.  The original double hung windows have all been restored to perfect working order with attention given to detail while maintaining their historical integrity. Kitchens are modestly designed with light wood Shaker Birch cabinets, granite counter tops and new appliances. A Moen faucet and pressed tin back splash complete the understated elegance. Closets have been furnished by California Closets and designed for optimum storage space and functionality. For tenants’ safety, ADT Security Systems was employed to design and install a surveillance system around and throughout the building.

About the Neighborhood

Matthew Sherman purchased Sherman Height’s in 1867. With beautiful views of the bay and downtown, the area has had a history of attracting new comers. The community is ethnically diverse and currently enjoying a period of revitalization, while restoring this charming historic neighborhood.
